Division 4 – Soils, environment and society
The SBCS Scientific Structure is made up of four Divisions that are subdivided into Specialized Commissions. It is up to the Board of Directors to decide on changes, inclusions or exclusions of new Specialized Committees, as well as their provision in the Scientific Structure of the SBCS.
When joining SBCS, each member may register for up to two Committees in any Division, depending on their area of interest. Every four years, the Executive Secretariat of the SBCS publishes the process for choosing the Coordinators of the Specialized Committees, at least two months in advance. It is up to the members of the Committees to indicate three names of members who may form the Coordination of the Committees.
